Wizz Air has launched low-cost flights from Abu Dhabi to Erbil, with fares starting at just AED269.
The ultra-low-fare airline will operate the route on Mondays and Fridays to the city in Iraq, which offers a rich history, warm hospitality, and stunning landscapes.
With a vibrant culture and incredible historical sites, including the ancient Citadel – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – travellers of all ages can immerse themselves in multiple historical civilisations, while staying in one of the many five-star hotels in Erbil.
Some of the must-see historical and natural attractions include the Sami Abdul Rahman Park, Jalil Khayat Mosque and Kurdish textile museum.

The new route from Abu Dhabi to Erbil joins the airline’s other destinations from the UAE capital including to countries such as Egypt, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia.
