Akira Back at W Dubai – The Palm has launched a new eight-course menu bringing together some of the Japanese restaurant’s greatest dishes in one sitting.
The AED299 menu takes diners on a journey through Akira Back’s history as it broke into the culinary scene, ranging from savoury tuna pizza topped with umami aioli, micro shisho, and fragrant white truffle oil to tender salmon tataki served with mustard su-miso and pickled wasabi.
Next up are the restaurant’s signature AB Tacos, filled with premium wagyu beef bulgogi and roasted tomato ponzu, as well as scallops in a half shell with tangy kimchi, veal bacon, and kochujang butter.
Diners will also be served sushi including the Akira Back Red Dragon Roll, packed with shrimp tempura, a succulent crab mix, creamy avocado, maguro and Eel Sauce, and the Perfect Storm Roll, with shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, salmon belly aburi, and flavourful chipotle mayo.
For the main course, it’s a choice between Josper-grilled chicken served with fragrant garlic spinach, spicy teriyaki, and nori rice crackers, or the Jidori Chicken, topped with potato purée and teriyaki sauce.
The eight-course menu finishes off with yuzu citrus for dessert, sprinkled with sweet sable crumbles and a scoop of strawberry gelato.
Launching on October 3, it is available every Tuesday from 7pm-midnight starting from AED299 per person.
