Flydubai has revealed a series of new flights to Pakistan’s capital Islamabad and the north-eastern cultural city of Lahore amid “sustained demand” for more services to the country.
The route will operate daily from Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2, beginning on July 1 this year. Return business class fares to both destinations will start from AED5,500, while economy class fares will start from AED1,300 for Islamabad and AED1,200 for Lahore.
Visitors to Lahore can immerse themselves in the vibrant bazaars of Anarkali or seek solace under the majestic domes of the historic Badshahi Mosque, which resonats with Mughal grandeur. After, indulge in a refreshing falooda in Gawalmandi, then listen to the soulful qawwalis at the Shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh Hajveri.
At the foot of the Margalla Hills, Islamabad meanwhile beckons with tree-lined streets and the iconic silhouette of the Faisal Mosque — a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture . Explore Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage at Lok Virsa Museum, or unwind with a breezy boat ride on Rawal Lake, framed by sweeping views of the surrounding National Park.
Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at Flydubai, said: “Pakistan has long been an important market for flydubai. Since 2010 when we first started operations to the market, we have seen sustained demand for travel and with the start of our daily services to Islamabad and Lahore, we look forward to offering passengers more opportunities to explore Dubai, the GCC region and beyond on the flydubai network.”
