Saudi Arabian comedian Ibrahim Al Hajjaj to make UK debut at Edinburgh Fringe

Ibrahim Al Hajjaj Edinburgh Fringe show

Saudi Arabian stand-up comedian Ibrahim Al Hajjaj is set to make his UK debut by bringing his unique brand of humour to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time ever.

The five-night run – from August 8th to 12th this year – comes on the heels of his meteoric rise to fame following a leading role in the comedy film Sattar, which ranks as the fifth highest-grossing film in the Kingdom’s history.

In addition to his big-screen success, Al Hajjaj co-founded one of the first comedy clubs in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating his dedication to growing and nurturing the cultural scene in his home country.

Al Hajjaj’s show, titled ‘From Riyadh to Edinburgh,’ will run at theSpace on the Mile – with nightly performances beginning at 10.55pm.

Taking over the Scottish capital for the month of August each year, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has long been a globally recognised platform for thousands of artists and performers – including several from the Middle East – to present their work in spaces across the city.

The Royal Mile, a historic cobbled street stretching from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace, becomes the heart of the festival, teeming with street performers, artists, and spectators.

Outside of his comedic work, Al Hajjaj has become an Instagram mega-star, with his charismatic personality garnering millions of followers from around the world.

The comedian’s digital presence also goes well beyond his Instagram fame, with a huge number of fans following him on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

If you’re heading to see Ibrahim Al Hajjaj at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year, you can expect something fresh and exciting.

From the bustling streets of Saudi Arabia to the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe on the Royal Mile, Al Hajjaj’s journey is a testament to his talent.
