With Eid Al Fitr fast approaching, hotels in destinations across the Middle East and Asia are revealing bargain deals for travellers looking to book in a quick getaway — and the Maldives, with its white sands, unspoilt coral reefs and picture-perfect lagoons, are no exception.
The Residence by Cenizaro, which is split across two islands in one of the largest and deepest atolls in the world, is offering 40% off its usual rates for a bumper eight months, as long as you book before April 9th this year.
Take your pick from an enviable selection of immaculate villas perched on the beach and hovering over crystal-clear waters, with daily breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort’s range of restaurants included under the deal.
The offer – for stays from March 15th until October 31st this year – also includes complimentary transfers via a shared domestic flight and speedboat for two guests per booking. After all, nobody wants to start their dream Maldivan holiday by forking out thousands of dollars on a seaplane transfer from the mainland.
The Residence by Cenizaro sits among an ecosystem of spectacular marine life, meaning you can spot turtles, colourful fish and eagle rays while meandering along the stunning one kilometre bridge that connects the property’s two islands.
Guests can also make use of complimentary snorkelling equipment and take part in an hour of non-motorised watersports each day, or head to The Spa by Clarins for a spot of sunrise yoga.
Forget boring creches – the Turtle Kids Club (for those aged three-12) offers enriching daily programs including nature walks, table tennis and treasure hunts. For older children – aged between 11 and 17 – a schedule of activities features chess competitions, archery and kayaking.
The Residence Zanzibar – a villa-only resort surrounded by acres of lush tropical gardens – is also rolling out the deals, with 15% off best available rates, food and beverage and spa treatments for stays between March 21st and May 31st.
Look out for rare Red Colobus Monkey from your private pool deck and garden, then take one of the hotel’s complimentary bicycles for a spin through one of the local towns, where fresh produce and traditional Tanzanian spices are on the menu.
